My dad visited Seattle for the first time a few weeks ago, and I’ve been meaning to posts some pics from his visit but I’ve been distracted by things like the government shutdown (totes lame). I hadn’t seen Dad in several months, and it was good to have some solid quality time together, while I showed him the sights. Pike’s Place, anyone?
Here’s a wrap-up of our weekend in pics:
This place was wild! I’ve never seen so many salmon before. Dad taught me all about the life of a salmon, and how the females “flip” to lay their eggs, while the males linger waiting to swim over them to put their “milk” over the eggs. I had no idea that they swim all the way back, lay their eggs, and then die. Maybe that’s something that everyone knows, like that pickles are really cucumbers. Sometimes I’m late to the party on things.
